Here’s What Happened at the 2018 True Colors Impact Summit

October 3-4, 2018 | Atlanta, GA

This year, the True Colors Fund traveled to Atlanta to host our annual Impact Summit. Folks from across the world gathered in Atlanta to take part in sharing, learning, and conversation about lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth homelessness. We were proud to have TYLENOL® PM as our first-ever presenting sponsor. Their support has enabled us to livestream the Impact Summit online this year for the first time – allowing us to bring the Summit experience to people in a whole new way!

Here’s a recap of what went down at the Impact Summit this year:

True Awards 2018: With These Folks at the Table, We’re Unstoppable

This year’s True Award winners embody what it means to show up at the table and create a better world for LGBTQ young people. Check out our 2018 honorees for your daily dose of inspiration!

Congratulations to the 2018 True Colors Fellows!

Since May, our 2018 class of True Colors Fellows have been working alongside the True Colors Fund on an array of projects to end youth homelessness among LGBTQ youth at the local, state, and national levels.

Our new toolkit helps communities channel the power of project management.

Back in June, we announced a partnership with the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) to help communities operationalize how they address LGBTQ youth homelessness. At the Impact Summit, we released our latest toolkit – The Critical Path: Project Management for Communities.

Check it out!

The #LoveTravels Challenge

This year’s Summit was held in the beautiful Marriot Marquis in Downtown Atlanta. Marriott International wants to hear about how you would promote inclusion, peace and cultural understanding through personal travel. Marriott will be selecting and awarding 30 individuals with the most creative, innovative and impactful ideas with a $10,000 grant to fulfill their vision.

Go to marriottlovetravelscontest.com to upload your essay or video for a chance to win.

Thanks to everyone who made the Impact Summit happen!

None of this would have been possible without the speakers, performers, attendees, and sponsors who made the Summit possible. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
