About the Organization
The Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) mission is to empower abused, neglected and homeless adolescents to become self-sufficient. We do this by providing street outreach, food, emergency shelter, transitional living apartments, and educational enrichment programs in a safe and nurturing environment. We maintain 2 emergency shelters, 2 group homes, 1 congregate living facility and a number of scattered site apartments. We serve both system and non-system youth and our programs include street and community outreach, individual counseling/mental health, therapeutic, social and creative activities, case management, family reunification, youth employment development, mentoring, volunteer opportunities, education support and life skills enrichment as well as our various shelters and homes.
