About the Organization
Penny Lane Centers is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that cares for over 5000 abused and neglected children, youth and families a month. We provide therapeutic residential services, foster family home placements, adoption services, transitional and affordable housing, family preservation, wraparound and mental health services for children youth and families throughout Los Angeles County.
Penny Lane’s new program, Embracing Identities, will help meet the needs of LGBT Transitional Age Youth directly by 1) creating support groups for LGBT TAY and their caregivers and 2) creating a training program for service providers, county and city departments, schools, and others who support our LGBT youth. Our program will be in Service Areas 7 and 3 – including Commerce and East LA, as well as Pasadena, Altadena and El Monte.
