Chantanae is in her second year of Hunter College’s MSW program, which brings her to the True Colors Fund as a student intern. Her concentrations are community organizing and policy which she hopes will be a productive way to help reform oppressive systems. She previously earned her BA in Sociology from Drexel University where she worked as an Intercultural Advocate, eventually becoming the Office Coordinator of the university’s LGBTQ Student Center. Her work with students there served as an inspiration to pursue a career in macro social work.
Outside of social work and academics, Chantanae has worked in the fields of education, politics, and as a personal shopper.
